Paula Borsetti’s work reflects her love of color and the natural environment of New England. She borrows colors, patterns, textures and forms to express herself and hopefully inspire the viewer to find a part of themselves in her work as well. As well as painting in her studio full time, Paula and her husband Joe established Locust Street Studios creating custom paddles and other unique projects. Her joy at experimentation and studying nature began under the tutelage of Sister Vincent de Paul Curran in Ipswich when Paula was a young girl. Her studies at the Art Institute of Boston, Montserrat College of Art and Endicott College as well as numerous workshops and residencies has fueled this love of experimentation and learning.
While being an educator for almost 3 decades fed her creativity, since retiring from teaching she is now able to focus on her painting full time. “I am pouring out the past 60 years of experience every day in my studio and loving every minute!”
Paula is a lifelong resident of Beverly, MA where she lives with her husband Joe and Springer Spaniels. Her work has been exhibited locally and is in many private collections. When not in her studio she can be found chasing the sunrise, kayaking in Maine and playing with her 2 beautiful grandsons.
