How can artists build and strengthen relationships to move toward healthier arts ecosystems as well as more individual well-being? Dance artists Amy Smith and jumatatu m. poe will lead this workshop to provide case studies and encourage imagining this possible future. In the first session, topics will include mutual aid, safety net programs, navigating the philanthropic industrial complex, and how racial and economic justice overlap and intertwine. In the second session we will discuss alternative forms of financial management, including systems for resource sharing, collective thinking, and financial self-determination.

Suitable for artists of all disciplines. 75 live participants max.

Presented with the City of Boston’s Office of Arts & Culture.
