$3000 in Art School Scholarship Awards from Salem Arts Association
Salem Arts Association is pleased to announce our 2022 Art School Scholarships applications are open to graduating high school seniors to apply. These scholarship awards are an important part of our program to encourage young artists to pursue their creative talents and support art education.
In 2022 Salem Arts Association will award THREE scholarships totaling $3000 to student artists. In addition to our annual memorial scholarships honoring Ellen Hardy and Paula Beaulieu, we are announcing the new “Creative Collective Innovation Award” that encourages inclusive innovation in any creative efforts. Each award will offer $1000.
Applications are due by Sunday May 1, 2022 at midnight.
Salem Arts Scholarships are awarded each spring to graduates pursuing the arts through a university program or accredited art school.
Three Scholarship awards will be offered in 2022
• NEW for 2022 – Creative Collective Innovation Award: Award of $1000 to a graduate from any Northshore school who demonstrates creative innovation in visual arts, performance, and multi-media.
• Ellen Hardy Memorial Scholarship: Award of $1000 to a graduate from any Salem school, or a student member of the Salem Arts Association working in any visual art, performance, and multi-media.
• Paula Beaulieu Art Scholarship: Award of $1000 to a Salem High School class of 2022 graduate working in the visual arts.
Applicants do not apply for a specific scholarship. Our Scholarship committee will review all scholarship applications and award based on eligibility and other criteria.
Application process:
• Please complete the application form and provide the required information. Editable forms are available on our website at https://salemarts.org/scholarship
• A personal artist statement and 5 samples (JPG images or media files) representing your creative work are required with the scholarship application.
• Recommendations from your teachers are acceptable but not necessary.
• Apply online, via email, or postal service.
• Applications Due Sunday May 1, 2022 by midnight
