Auditions for PARTY at MLT

Marblehead Little Theatre announces non-Equity auditions for the new play PARTY by Anne Marilyn Lucas.

PARTY is a new comedy, described as “A DOLL’S HOUSE meets Neil Simon”, about a family evening where the fate of three marriages are challenged. Diana and Aaron in their late 50’s, Esther and Felix in their late 70’s, and Jason and Caitlyn are in their 20’s. Set in an Upper East Side NYC apartment, secrets are revealed by grandparents, children, and parents alike as they hash through what marriage means.

Auditions will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 2-5 pm at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School St, Marblehead.

Callbacks will be held on Monday, May 9 from 6:30-8:30 pm at St Andrews Church, 135 Lafayette St, Marblehead.

Please prepare a 2-3 minute monologue with a NYC feel.

Rehearsals will be in mid-July until opening in mid-August

AARON KATZ Diana’s husband, Broker at Morgan Stanley, narcissist. Late 50’s
JASON KATZ Diana’s son, Grad student Poly Sci NYU, protective of his mother. 20’s
CAITLYN GRAHAM Jason’s fiancee, Grad student Women’s Studies NYU, feisty feminist. 20’s
ESTHER KATZ Aaron’s mother, Long Island housewife, adoring mother. Late 70’s
FELIX KATZ Aaron’s father, retired Dentist, pragmatist. Late 70’s
