Bella, An Immigrant’s Tale, written and performed by Vicki Summers, follows the life journey of the playwright’s beloved grandmother, Bella Indianer, a Russian-Jewish immigrant who escaped the pogroms and made a life in America. In addition to her grandmother, Summers plays numerous other characters in the play. It’s a story of courage, loss, humor and love, universal themes to which everyone can relate. Originally developed and performed at Cape Rep Theater in Brewster, MA in 2017, Bella, An Immigrant’s Tale has toured throughout New England, as well as to Daytona Beach, Florida and Los Angeles, California. Summers was honored to have been accepted into the LA Women’s Theater Festival where she performed in 2019.
All proceeds will beneift the Ukrainian Red Cross, World Central Kitchen and the International Rescue Committee.
