The Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation welcomes the Cape Ann Big Band in the final concert of the seventh season of Music on Meetinghouse Green at the corner of Middle and Church Streets in Gloucester at 6:00 p.m.
Here’s a local ensemble with a huge fan base that needs little introduction. Get your seats early as this high-powered group will draw a capacity audience. The Cape Ann Big Band, made up of 17 talented local musicians, has made a lasting impact on the Cape Ann community with their signature sound, high energy, and extensive repertoire. Take a step back in time as the Cape Ann Big Band lights up the night with their unforgettable performances of jazz, swing, New Orleans, soul, and rock ‘n roll favorites.
Your free-will donations will benefit the Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation, organizer of this unique series of nine free summer evening concerts that feature outstanding local talent and support local non-profit partners all in a relaxed and family-friendly environment. The GMF will also be celebrating the latest phase of restoration of the historic 1806 Meetinghouse with the successful completion of the preservation of the 125’ belltower. The evening’s food vendor is the Causeway, offering up their popular seafood favorites.
