Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner
In tribute to the passing of the legendary Sidney Poitier, The Cabot brings you a special screening of one of his most famous films – Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn also star in 1967’s Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.
When Joanna Drayton, a free-thinking white woman, and African-American doctor John Prentice become engaged on vacation, they travel to San Francisco to meet her parents. The wealthy Draytons view themselves as liberal-thinking, but must confront their latent prejudices upon suddenly learning the man their daughter intends to marry is African-American. An invite to the get-together is also extended to John’s parents, who are also unaware that their son plans to marry a white woman.
