MLT’s non-Equity auditions for King Street Mixup

Marblehead Little Theatre is pleased to announce the non-Equity auditions for KING STREET MIXUP, a play by Barry Brodsky and to be directed by Sharon Squires.

KING STREET MIXUP is set in a small urban Welfare office, where a Regional Manager appears to let the workers know that the Department has ordered some of its workers across the state to submit to a random drug test. The Manager tells them she will be back in a few hours expecting all to submit samples. The workers must decide whether to comply, and they get some unexpected help from a couple of their clients. 

Auditions and rehearsals through August 26 will be held in the Studio at Central Square Theater, 450 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge. Tech rehearsals, tech run-throughs and all performances will be at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School St, Marblehead. 

Auditions will be by appointment; however, walk-in’s will be able to audition as time allows. Auditions are held at Central Square Theater on Friday, August 5 from 6:30-9:30 pm and Saturday, August 6 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Call backs will be Sunday, August 7 from 12:00 pm- 3:00 pm. 

Please prepare a comedic monologue of your choice for the audition. Sides will be given at the auditions. 

All staff and auditioners must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including at least one booster. Proof of vaccination will be required.

We realize there will be an additional expense for transportation to Marblehead for tech and performances. There will be a stipend available to help offset these additional travel costs.
