WING A THING Workshop

Join artist Morgan Petitpas on a wild artistic journey to ‘Wing a Thing!’ Morgan’s work is featured in A World Awry, the current exhibition at the Cultural Center. She employs assemblage and soft sculpture to transform objects from their original functions. In this exclusive workshop, Morgan will provide methods for making custom wings for your object which includes embroidery and stitching techniques, design consultation, and methods of attaching and hanging for your desired result. This workshop is open to artists of all media and experience levels. No prior embroidery experience is needed.

Supplies:

Please bring one item that you would like to attach wings to – it could be a rock, toy, broken musical instrument, stuffed animal – get creative! All additional supplies are provided by the instructor.
