In the heart of Lynn’s Arts & Cultural District, the Lynn Museum was founded in 1897 to collect, preserve and illuminate the city’s remarkable history. The museum has evolved into a vibrant cultural center, expanding its footprint to include the LynnArts building at 25 Exchange Street.

The Lynn Museum/LynnArts offers changing exhibitions and innovative youth and adult programs which engage and enrich Lynn’s diverse community. The Lynn Museum encourages active participation in exploring the city’s past while shaping a vision for its future.

Accessibility

Both the Lynn Museum and LynnArts buildings are fully ADA accessible. The main entrance to the Museum (590 Washington Street) is fully accessible. The accessible entrance to LynnArts (25 Exchange Street) can be found at the rear of the building, adjacent to the parking lot.

Parking

Parking is available in the Lynn Museum parking lot accessible from Washington Street, immediately beyond the Museum Courtyard. The Museum entrance is located on the Courtyard side of the building. Street parking is also available, as well as the MBTA Commuter Rail and Bus Depot parking garage.

LynnArts has spaces in the back of the building, clearly marked, in the lot accessible from Spring Street.

Public Hours

The Museum is currently open by appointment on Tuesday and Wednesday, with public hours on Thursday and Friday between 10am-5pm. The Museum is also open the second Saturday of each month between 11am-3pm free to the public.

While LynnArts is largely private studio space for practicing artists, there are several building members that offer workshops, classes, events and more that are open to the community. For more information head to: https://lynnmuseum.org/lynn-arts/
