Named after a Victorian children’s game, What Time Is It, Mr. Fox? can time-travel from 1960s soul of New Orleans back to the woods of Medieval France before landing in the Tin Pan Alley era of NYC.  The ensemble features 3rian King (voice, keys, guitar), Nathan Cohen (violin, trumpet), Renee Dupuis (voice, keys, melodica), Joe Cardoza (bass), and Dennis Monagle (drums). Mr. Fox delivers their own brand smoky cabaret and soul noir sounding something like Tom Waits and Amy Winehouse performing in a French cafe. Whether stripped down for acoustic coffeehouses and living room concerts or immersive multimedia shows in clubs and theaters, What Time Is It, Mr. Fox? brings honesty and emotional authenticity to every performance.

In 2019, the band produced a completely sold-out run of their new original multimedia musical “Medusa: Reclaiming the Myth” with the Charles Hayden Planetarium at the Museum of Science, Boston.  The show was revised with aerial theater and shadow puppetry in a sold-out weekend of performances at Central Square Theater in Cambridge MA in June 2022.

QUOTES:

“This performance reclaims the myth of Medusa after #MeToo. I felt like I was floating. As I gazed up from my reclined chair, I realized I had never seen a show or movie from this angle. The literal shift in vantage point helps liberate us from the confines of what we’ve always been told.” – Rosalind Bevan, WBUR

“Time has come for Mr. Fox”- Boston Herald

“a triumph of mood and style, an unforgettable musical, theatrical and emotional experience.”- Edge

We produce various types of shows, for example, an intimate coffeehouse might book us as an acoustic trio or 5-piece. A larger theater with an aerial rig might want to book “Gravitational Fool” with additional aerialists and a tech director, along with community educational components around LGBTQ+ issues and aerial theater.
